Why I got started in juicing and ultimately in helping friends to see its benefits is likely similar to why others are doing it. A few years ago I had a major health crisis. (Unfortunately, in America that’s usually what it takes) I went from feeling great, playing with kids, and working out at the gym 3 times a week, to seriously underweight and barely functional. For a 34 year old guy in the prime of life this was quite a shock. After getting nowhere with “standard medicine” I sought out a naturopathic doctor who led me in the direction of what FOOD was doing to my body. You see, no matter how much I ate, I still felt terrible and was still loosing weight, even at 3000+ calories a day! After an in-depth analysis by Immuno Labs I was found to have multiple food sensitivities including several that if I’d kept on consuming them could eventually cause DEATH! The lab found that I was extremely sensitive to gluten and dairy, both of which can wreak havoc on the intestines of the person who can’t digest them properly. My system was so damaged from this it could no longer absorb enough of the nutrients from the foods I was eating to function right. After eliminating those and some other foods that were causing me problems, my system began a long, slow road to recovery. Juicing became an important part of that recovery process. After all, you can drink a whole lot more fruits and vegetables than you can eat. Just take a look at a bottle of “Naked” juice and you’ll realize that. Ever try to eat 3 cranberries, 1 1/2 apples, a 1/2 orange, a banana, some pomegranate seeds, some grapes, 11 strawberries, and 13 raspberries in one sitting? Yikes! The solution: Juice them! While the fiber from produce is important, your body will absorb the nutrients better as juice because your system has nothing to break down. That was critical for me. Another important aspect is that with fresh, raw juices all of the beneficial enzymes and the maximum amount of vitamins and minerals are present delivering a healing elixir to the digestive tract. That’s something I just couldn’t get from a bottle of processed juice picked up at the grocery store. But besides all that - Isn’t freshly squeezed juice a whole lot better tastin’ than something that’s been sitting on the store shelf for weeks, and before that a truck ride, a warehouse stay...I think you get the point.
You’ll see from my site that my interest is not in being a giant retail store selling all kinds of stuff, much of it not well made and designed to break, so you have to go buy a new one. Instead, I look for products that you'll be happy to use everyday to improve your health. I want to spend my time educating others on the importance of good nutrition, steering clear of artificial ingredients and GMO’s, getting screened for food allergies, and how to create tasty concoctions with healthy ingredients, not dealing with customer service issues created by poorly made products. After all, I still have a sweet tooth, so I had to figure out how to satisfy that some other way besides “Death by Chocolate” cake. My toll-free number and email are on the page so if I can assist you on the road to good health please be in touch. I also have a blog where you’ll find interesting information and the opportunity to leave comments.
My site is new, so please pardon the ongoing construction, and bookmark us so you can check back and see new recipes, articles, and more. God provided us an earth full of plants with the power to heal all kinds of diseases; protect her and enjoy the bountiful harvest. May the Lord bless you and yours with good health!
