| The Green Star GS-3000 is the juicer I personally use on a regular basis. The unit is solidly built and will juice or grind about anything you put through it. It does work best on firm produce, particularly root vegetables like carrots and beets. The twin gear system really does leave a dry pulp for maximum juice yield. The unit is hard core and can handle a making a lot of juice. It's slow RPM means little heat build-up that would effect your final product. While you should drink your juice right away for optimal benefits, with this juicer the oxidation is so low that you could save some for later. It does take a bit longer to clean a unit like this because of the many parts. However, I find that all but the screen are easy to clean under hot running water, provided you do the cleaning right after you are finished juicing. The unit comes with a brush that makes cleaning the screen inside reasonably easy. I can usually clean it up nice in a couple minutes. Overall, the GS-3000 is the top of the line in juicing. It may not have the speed and the super fast cleanup that a centrifugal juicer would have, but if you want high quality juice with little waste you will be pleased with this product. Do check out the dimensions of this product as it is quite large and heavy. Green Star stands by its products and I rarely hear of people being disappointed with their juicers. |
